Lisb-On Festival 2019 in Lisbon
For its sixth edition, Lisb-On is already one of the classics of the Portuguese capital’s back-to-school season. It is a festival held in one of Lisbon’s most central green spaces, the Parque Eduardo VII, with a programme starting at 2 p.m. and ending shortly after midnight.

Lisbon Sounds 2019
The proposal of Lisboa Soa, an environmentally friendly art festival, which this year is in its fourth edition with a programme devoted to the theme of migration, is much more ambitious.
More than a music festival, it is rather a meeting of sound art, urban planning and sound culture with an extensive programme of installations, performances and workshops. It is a research project conceived by Raquel Castro, who has long been dedicated to the study of sound as an essential element of the identity of places. This music festival in Lisbon has already visited the garden of the Palacio de Queluz, the Water Museum and the Estufa fria, where it returns this year from 12 to 14 September.
On the programme:
- The Portuguese Francisco Pinheiro and Paulo Morais, Lantana and Gil Delindro.
- The British duo Kathy Hinde and Matthew Olden,
- The American Maile Colbert
- Chileans Rodrigo Araya and Fernando Godoy
- The Austrian Andreas Trobollowitsch
Among the various installations, it is worth mentioning, for example, the one that the Englishman Peter Cusack, one of the world’s greatest names in sound landscape documentation, devotes to the Aral Sea in Kazakhstan, where one of the greatest environmental disasters of the 20th century took place.
