1. The Cantina
The restaurant La Cantina at the Lx Factory in Lisbon embodies the spirit of the transformation of this former factory and the spaces that you can discover. Modern, committed and very artistic decorations that you will take the time to discover in every detail. The restaurant La Cantina offers a simple, accessible and traditional cuisine full of Portuguese flavours that you will surely enjoy.
The restaurant is open:
- For lunch from Tuesday to Saturday from 12:30 to 15:30 and on Sunday from 12:30 to 17:00
- For dinner from Tuesday to Saturday from 7.30 pm to midnight.
2. Burger Factory
The Burger Factory restaurant at the Lx Factory in Lisbon is the place dedicated to the world of the burger. Everything is made to measure, from the choice of bread to the composition of the sandwich. Set up on two floors in a retro atmosphere, you can not only eat, but also buy the different objects that make up the decoration. Don’t forget, the Lx Factory is all about eye candy!
3. AMesa
The half-Italian, half-Brazilian pizzeria A Mesa at the Lx Factory in Lisbon has only one giant table, and that’s a very strong concept of this place whose decoration will also blow your mind.
Its originality? Each pizza is named after a district of Lisbon and is served in mini portions. The idea here is to order several pizzas and share them around the giant table. The thin dough of these pizzas is delicious and you can enjoy them with a salad, all for only €8.25.
4. Sushi Factory
At the Lx Factory, as elsewhere, it is necessary to vary the pleasures and we could not not put in the best restaurants of the Lx Factory a Sushi, and not just any one! This Sushi Factory restaurant is entirely dedicated to Japanese culture where sushi is king.
Perfect for lovers of these quality dishes who can choose the “all you can eat” formula, for a price of €18, where the waiters bring, throughout the dinner, various sushi dishes, each as good as the next, until the customers themselves signal that they are no longer hungry.
Lisbon's Lx Factory bars to know
Lisbon’s Lx Factory bars are a huge success both for their general atmosphere and their location. After a good day’s wandering through the deco shops and galleries, you’ll know how to enjoy a drink in one of their bars before closing time.
At the Lx Factory, the nightlife is as active as the day. Discover this iconic place in the middle of the night and stop by one of the 7 counters in the old factory or spend the night in their discotheque.
1. The Rio Maravilha
The trendiest bar in Lisbon’s Lx Factory is undoubtedly Rio Maravilha. Easily spotted thanks to its multicoloured female statue, it is located in the centre of the former textile factory, on the 4th floor of a building with industrial structures and a breathtaking view, you will love it!
2. Night Club BOSQ LX
The BOSQ Lx nightclub offers two dance floors for a variety of themed parties, a vertical garden on the first floor to evoke the spirit of the forest, and airy lounges for fresh air. BOSQ LX is open on Fridays and Saturdays from 11pm to 6am, a must-see venue in Lisbon’s Lx Factory where you can rock out on the dance floor all night long.
3. Café na Fabrica
Café na Fabrica is the busiest coffee corner in Lisbon’s Lx Factory. It is the perfect place to have a quick meal or to take a coffee break in a 50’s style setting. The decor is extremely well thought out and pleasant, as are all the places in the Lx Factory in Lisbon. It is worth noting that the Lx Factory is a very popular place for tourists in Lisbon, but also for Portuguese and expatriates who work in the area or in the dedicated coworking space.
Hotel Lx Factory in Lisbon: The Dorm
One day is usually not enough to enjoy the Lx Factory in its entirety, which is why a hostel and hotels have been set up. The Dorm at Lx Factory Hostel, located in Alcântara, has a capacity of 2 double rooms and 3 non-smoking dorms with a 24-hour reception. To satisfy your stay, the hostel offers free continental breakfast, free wifi, access to a shared kitchen, access to a shared bathroom (only for dormitories), free valet parking, lockers and luggage storage.
When you arrive, it is best to arrive between 14:00 and 00:00. When leaving, please make sure that your luggage and vehicle are ready to leave by 11am. Please note that children under 11 years of age and pets are not allowed and the hotel is non-smoking.
In the surrounding area you can enjoy the Monastery dos Jeronimos, the craft market Mercado de Ribeira, the Lisbon Congress Centre, as well as the Rua Rodrigues de Faria.
Working at the Lx Factory: offices and coworking
If you are an entrepreneur, freelancer or business owner and you want to work in a pleasant place, working at the Lx Factory during the week or at the weekend will inspire you. There is no need to isolate yourself in the youth hostel or in one of the hotels at the Lx Factory, but rather opt for the beautiful coworking space at your disposal.
The Lx Factory has a free space called Lx Factory CoWork, where you will find different spaces delimited by partitions of different heights and materials. Within the Lx Factory offices, you will find a dedicated, well-insulated area for producing your videos or making calls in complete serenity. The booths are equipped with cork panels for acoustic protection.
The offices are designed to keep your cables organized and the coworking spaces allow you to hold your team meetings in a friendly atmosphere thanks to the round-legged tables.
How to get to the Lx Factory ?
Located in the Alcântara district, near Belèm, the Lx Factory in Lisbon is not far from the 25th April Bridge. Despite Lisbon’s urban life, there is no public transport to get to the Lx Factory, unless you don’t mind walking a few kilometres. However, you can opt to book a taxi to take you to the gates of the former textile factory.
To get to the Lx Factory, there are several possibilities depending on the different bus stops around Lisbon:
- The train, Cascais line from Cais do Sodré will drop you off at Alcântara Mar station.
- Bus lines 714, 722, 727, 751 and 756 will take you to Calvario station.
- Bus lines 201, 742, 751, 756 and 760 will take you to Santo Amaro station.
- The tram, with lines 15 and 18, will drop you off at Calvario station.
- The taxi from the place you want will take you to where you want to go. Either directly to the Lx Fcatory, or a few kilometres before if you want to enjoy the Portuguese weather.
